Praise and Thanks

At the November Fellowship Meeting, Johnny Gilchrist was unanimously voted on to the Leadership Team as a Deacon.  We thank him for taking up this roll and pray for him as he joins Martin, Jackie and David in leading our church.  We will have a special time of prayer for him and the Deacons at the Rededication Service on the 6th January.

The Angel Tree - 10 presents were brought for children of people in Prison and also we received £85.00 towards the wrapping and sending out of these gifts.  Thank you to all those who gave and to Tricia for organising this for us.

The Remembrance Day Parade Service was very well attended by Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Scout Leaders and Parents plus others.  £105 was sent to the Poppy Appeal from the collection that morning.

Items for Prayer

For our Christmas Services as we invite our friends and families, that the message of Christmas will grip us afresh.

For the Leadership Team as it meets in December seeking the way forward for 2019.

For Jhonnar as he joins his family in Venezuela for Christmas - that it will be a special time for him.

For Norma and Bert.  Bert is now out of hospital but needing a lot of attention, please pray for health and strength for Norma at this difficult time.

For Ayan as she starts work again and spends her first Christmas and New Year in this country.

For Tricia having problems with her shoulder.

For Johnny and The Oakes team as they lead various camps leading up to Christmas, that they may see the Lord working in the lives of people who attend.

Pause for Thought

We sang this song at the Small Churches Resources Day and it really spoke to me as we approach this busy time of the year.  The LORD is able.

He is able more than able to accomplish what concerns me today,

He is able more than able to handle anything that comes my way,

He is able more than able to do much more than I could ever dream,

He is able more than able to make me what He wants me to be.

We wish you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year.  May we step out into 2019 with the Lord at our side leading and guilding us
