We have no Birthdays in February that I know of.

Praise and Thanks

Thank you to everyone who gave so generously to the HARC Fund over Christmas, we were able to send £220 to Harc - Homeless and Rootless at Christmas in Sheffield.

We have been praying for Ayan’s sister to get a Visa to come and visit her, Ayan heard last week that her sister has now got the Visa and they are busy arranging flights.  Please pray that she has a good time while she is over here.

Items for Prayer

The Leadership Team as it meets to consider and discuss the way forward for the church here at Beauchief, as Don Brennan said on Sunday is it time to take a step out in faith.

For Ping, Peter, Weina and Esther as they return to China on the 31st January for six weeks.  Please pray for safe journeys and a good time to be had with family and friends.  We look forward to welcoming them back in the middle of March.

For Jhonnar that he will soon get his Visa and be able to return to The Oakes to share in the work there with Johnny. Also remember his family in Venezuela. There is a “Just Giving” web site to support Jhonnar’s family, https://www.gofundme.com/help-jhonnars-family if you want to help support them at this difficult timee

For Howard that he will be given peace and assurance at this time and that he may know clearly the way forward for him.

For Bert as he spends 28 days in a Rehabilitation Centre before moving on to a Nursing Home, please pray for Norma and her family that they will find the right place for him.  Pray also for Norma as she adjusts to the change in circumstances that she may know the Lord’s peace.

For Phyllis who hasn’t been able to get to church because the home has been closed to people going in and out.

Pause for Thought

Ephesians 3:14-20  (The Message)  Paul says

‘My response is to get down on my knees before the Father, this magnificent Father who parcels out all heaven and earth.  I ask him to strengthen you by his Spirit - not a brute strength but a glorious inner strength - that Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in.  And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you’ll be able to take in with all Christians the extravagant dimensions of Christ’s love.  Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.

God can do anything, you know - far  more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!  He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.’

‘Are we so firmly planted, our roots so sunk into Jesus’ solidity, absorbing his love. nourished by his teaching, trusting him for every moment of every day - so rooted that nothing can uproot us?’  Helen Williams - Day by Day with God
