Items for Prayer

The church at our last Fellowship Meeting took a step of faith and voted to look for a full time Minister, please pray for the Leadership Team and the fellowship as we begin the task and for Clive Burnard as he guides us.  May the person be of the Lord’s choosing.

For the Leadership Team as it meets with Clive Burnard.

For Jhonnar that the Lord will lead and guide him as he awaits his Visa.

For Howard for peace and a sense of the Lord’s presence with him leading and guiding him.

For Phyllis in Twelvetrees Care Home

For Bert (Norma’s Husband) as he settles in Lower Bowshaw View Care Home and for Norma as she travels backwards and forwards to see him.

For Ping, Weina and Esther for safe journeys as they travel back to the UK on the 15th March.

For Ayan that she will soon pass her Driving Test.

For Peter Bilson in hospital at the Northern General with Pancreatitis and for Mr and Mrs Bilson and Sarah as they visit him.

For Gabi, Johnny and Jo as they hear this month which Secondary School Gabi will be going to from September.  Please pray that it will be the right one for Gabi.

Pause for Thought

Philippians 4:4 - 6  The Message

‘Celebrate God all day, every day.  Don’t fret or worry.  Instead of worrying, pray.  Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.  Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down.  It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the centre of you life.’

In order to have this peace, we must leave the problem with him and not snatch it back again.  There is a big sign over God’s ‘worry pond’ the says, ‘No fishing here!’

An important and hard lesson to learn.
