Baptist Missionary Society - Birthday Scheme

By giving a gift to the BMS Birthday Scheme every year on your birthday, you’re doing something amazing - you’re sharing the gift of life.  Every gift given to the Birthday Scheme supports our life-transforming health work.  Your birthday can help medics in Chad keep vulnerable mothers and babies safe in childbirth.  It can support children with disabilities in Thailand, providing them with a loving home in a society which ofter rejects them.  And it can help struggling people in Uganda access speech therapy, giving them the opportunity to communicate with the world around them, plus you get a Birthday Card from me.  Please see Jenny for more information and also Notice Board at the back of the Church.

Praise and Thanks

Thank you for your gifts on our Thanksgiving Day.  To date we have received £402.30.

Church Ramp - £241.15

Venezuela -       £161.15.

We send Congratulations to Peter and Jennifer who celebrated their Silver Wedding Anniversary on the 25th August and pray God’s blessing for them in the days, months and years ahead.

Items for Prayer

For the Leadership Team as they meet on the 5th and seek the Lord’s will for the next few months.

For children as they go back to school especially those starting school for the first time or moving to Junior and Senior Schools.  For the Open the Book team as they go into Abbey Lane and Woodseats Schools to take Assemblies.

For Howard as he has to get up at about 5.00am every morning for work.

For Ayan that she will soon pass her Driving Test making it easier for her to get to work and to go and see Roger.

The Porch - we hope to start on the decoration of the Porch in the next 2 weeks.

Pause for Thought

“Abraham was called to be God’s special ambassador on earth, as we are too, and God requires his representatives to trust him enough to obey him in every small detail.  This is because he needs us to show the world the enormous benefits of living under his care and protection.

People don’t read the Bible nowadays; they read us!  Are you willing for your life to be an open Bible?”

From Day by Day with God - Jennifer Rees Larcombe
